2013 VSFS: Lily Aldridge (British Invasion Segment)

Fall Out Boy rocked the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York with a live performance of "Light 'Em Up" for the British Invasion Segment. Joining this American rock punk band on stage (besides the gorgeous Victoria's Secret Angels) for the opening segment was American pop sensation Taylor Swift all decked out in a British flag outfit that screamed "Fashion Diva!" and truly set the tone.

In regards to fashion, one of the best British Invasion lingerie outfits was worn by Angel Lily Aldridge. She is a current Victoria's Secret Angel and [drum-roll please] she is AMERICAN of Native American descent. Much celebrated American love for Great Britain during this fabulous runway segment. Lily Aldridge closes this segment in grand Brit style all clad in plaid!

Lily's outfit blends several different plaid patterns together with a very punk look mixed with some gorgeous, ethnic peacock feathers and a bold splash of white text displayed against black leather. The lingerie focal point of this look is the yellow plaid bra. The added touches include biker-inspired half-sleeve motorcycle leather crop jacket complete with several pieces of trendy biker-inspired jewelry. To add in the beautiful and extravagant feather pieces to the wings and to the dangling necklace just kicks this look up to another level ... just FIERCE! And the detailing of the platinum blonde hair masterfully braided to trim a portion of the wings ... quite creative and oh, so cool.

"Be careful making wishes in the dark, dark.
Can't be sure when they've hit their mark.
And besides in the mean, mean time
I'm just dreaming of tearing you apart."

~Lyrics from "Light 'Em Up" by Fall Out Boy

"I'm in the de-details with the devil.
So now the world can never get me on my level.
I just gotta get you off the cage
I'm a young lover's rage.
Gonna need a spark to ignite."

~Lyrics from "Light 'Em Up" by Fall Out Boy

"All the writers keep writing what they write.
Somewhere another pretty vein just dies.
I've got the scars from tomorrow and I wish you could see
That you’re the antidote to everything except for me."

~Lyrics from "Light 'Em Up" by Fall Out Boy

"A constellation of tears on your lashes.
Burn everything you love, then burn the ashes.
In the end everything collides.
My childhood spat back out the monster that you see."

SI Swimsuit 2015: VS Model Lily Aldridge

Lily Aldridge has posed for Sports Illustrated's Annual Swimsuit Issue for the last several years. She was on the cover last year in a group photo and this year graces the pages with the air of an experienced swimsuit model. There is something fierce about confidence and being comfortable in your own skin.

The Angels Take Toronto!

When Victoria's Secret makes a decision to expand internationally, they do it in grand style! The cute Victoria's Secret helicopter that VS Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Lily Aldridge arrived in for the Toronto Eaton Centre grand opening made for quite an entrance. The black VS leather jackets with the large ornate wings on the back added a nice touch and actually matched the glossy black and pink color scheme of the helicopter.

The Toronto store's grand opening was held on October 28, 2010 and since then Victoria's Secret has opened up a total of 16 Victoria's Secret boutiques throughout Toronto, Ontario in Canada with an additional 7 locations in Alberta. I guess the ladies in Canada welcomed Victoria's Secret with open arms. What a successful expansion in such a short period of time. In 2013, Victoria's Secret has a total of 28 stores in Canada.
