Lovecat Magazine, Issue #1: Chanel Iman

Issue #1 Summer of Sex
Lovecat Magazine (Fanzine)
June 13 2011

~~~>A fanzine is a nonprofessional and nonofficial publication produced by fans of a particular cultural phenomenon (such as a literary or musical genre) for the pleasure of others who share their interest. The term was coined in an October 1940 science fiction fanzine by Russ Chauvenet and first popularized within science fiction fandom, from whom it was adopted by others.
Typically, publishers, editors and contributors of articles or illustrations to fanzines receive no financial compensation. Fanzines are traditionally circulated free of charge, or for a nominal cost to defray postage or production expenses. Copies are often offered in exchange for similar publications, or for contributions of art, articles, or letters of comment, which are then published.
A few fanzines have evolved into professional publications (sometimes known as "prozines"), and many professional writers were first published in fanzines; some continue to contribute to them after establishing a professional reputation. The term fanzine is sometimes confused with "fan magazine", but the latter term most often refers to commercially-produced publications for (rather than by) fans.<~~~ [Source: Wikipedia]
.:u make me wanna get up & SCREAM!:.
Even though the term "fanzine" is a new term for me, the term and concept has been around for many decades. The fanzine Lovecat Magazine puts together in such an alluring way a great mix of popular fashion models, trendy fashion, hot music and then interlaces it with cool art and great editorial writing using some of the best photographers in the industry.
The very first issue hit the streets Summer 2011 on June 13th and made a true mark in the fashion world. The feature with Chanel Iman just left me in total awe simply because they captured the sexy side of Chanel Iman in a way that many other publications have failed to do. Her sexy pose in those fabulous must-have Christian Louboutin heels just leaves one wanting to treasure this 1st issue because it is obviously a collector's item! And with the accompaning video entitled "Grown Men Cry," by filmmaker Jenna Elizabeth, we get to watch her body movements behind the scenes of the photoshoot ... catlike gestures ... confident sex appeal ... and the kinky way in which she licks the guitar she is posing with. Just H O T!
On the cover of this first issue is Paz de la Huerta photographed by the famous photographer Ellen Von Unwerth. Featured inside, surprisingly, is the adorable Canadian model Andi Muise as well as other high profile models such as Kate Moss, Linda V., Jessica Gomes, Nicole Trunfio and Jarah Mariano.
